2005 Gibson Granada 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous and all original Granada with a clean original case. This has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a Curly Maple Banjo with Gold and Engraved hardware. The armrest, tailpiece and tension hoop have been engraved.The neck is also Curly Maple with a Rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a rare Flying Eagle inlay pattern. There is w/b/w binding on each side of the resonator. This also has gold tuners and the headstock is engraved including a Gibson logo.

The Granada is the iconic bluegrass banjo. This model has been played by countless true professional banjo players. This banjo produces a sweet while still very present tone that makes the banjo sound incredible. This is all original and also includes an original hardshell case.

Condition

This banjo is gorgeous. The gold looks fantastic. Even the armrest shows pretty much no wear. The armrest will always be the first part to show wear and this one is clean. The finish looks fantastic and the hardware is glowing!! The neck and fretboard are clean with clean frets. The first couple frets have a touch of wear but that is it. This has no functional issues and has never been repaired. The original case is also super clean.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the shop. This has a brand new Huber frosted head and new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. The banjo has the original Gibson bridge which is cool. I have set the head to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head. This has nice string height (action) with correct intonation. This is a gorgeous banjo that sounds fantastic and has been professionally set up for maximum tone and playability.
