2005 Gibson JD Crowe RB75 5 string Banjo

This is a gorgeous 2005 Gibson JD Crowe RB75 Banjo.  It is all original.  This is a copy of a Pre War Gibson RB3 that was played by JD Crowe.  This is all original, in fantastic condition and professionally set up.  In addition the inside of the resonator is hand signed by JD Crowe.

Description

This is a mahogany banjo with a 3 ply Hard Rock Maple shell.  The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The tuners are gorgeous amber button tuners.  They really set the banjo off nicely.  This has a Gibson Presto Tailpiece and a one piece armrest.  The banjo also includes a very nice archtop hardshell case.

Condition

This is in truly gorgeous condition.  The resonator shows almost no signs of wear.  The finish looks fantastic.  The hardware looks even better.  It glows!  The neck and fretboard are both clean.  The first few frets are showing some wear but that is just the first few.  The rest of the frets are nearly perfect.  This does not cause any buzzing whatsoever.  There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets.  The case is also in fantastic condition.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.  The action and intonation are correct.  This has nice playing action with a great deal of volume.  The truss rod and coordinator rods are all turning.  This has a new Huber frosted head and Huber Truetone strings .10 gauge.  The banjo has a Gary Sosebee bridge.  The banjo sounds and plays incredible with the head set to 90 on a drum dial.
