Description

This is a gorgeous 2005 Gibson RB3 Wreath 5 string Banjo with Original Case. The Banjo has all original Gibson Banjo Parts and the only part not factory installed is the Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring. This is a powerful banjo and is in great shape and ready to go.

This has a maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator. There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator and white concentric rings on the resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a wreath inlay pattern. The banjo has all nickel hardware which is all original Gibson. This includes a Gibson USA one piece flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring. The Tone Ring was in a different Gibson originally but it is an original Gibson ring, and a good one.

The banjo is exceptional and includes a Gibson Case.

Condition

This banjo is in fantastic shape. We buffed all of the metal and it has a gorgeous shine. The finish is also super clean and has been waxed for a shine. The fretboard is clean and oiled. This frets are in good shape and spikes at frets 7,9 and 10. There was once a 5th string capo which has been removed but there are 3 tiny holes in the side of the neck from the capo. These are tiny and effect nothing. The case has some light wear on the outside but is definitely in good shape, sturdy and secure.

Set Up

This has been set up with a new Huber Frosted Head which is set at 90 on a drum dial. The bridge and strings are both new Huber. This banjo not only is a fantastic banjo to start, this has been professionally cleaned and set up here at our shop.
