2005 Huber Jim Mills
This is a mahogany banjo with gold hardware. The hardware has been engraved. The neck is also mahogany and there is a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard is inlaid with a leaves and bows inlay pattern. The gold engraved hardware looks fantastic. The armrest is also engraved. The tailpiece is a deluxe Gold Tailpiece which is gorgeous. The neck and resonator both have white binding on each side. This has vintage style tuning keys. The headstock also is inlaid with the Huber logo. This has a Huber Vintage tone ring. The case is a clean Superior hardshell case.
Condition
The banjo is definitely in good shape. The finish on the back of the resonator has light checking but it is definitely not serious. The gold hardware also shows a little bit of tarnish but not too bad. In fact the gold hardware is glowing. The neck is straight and this has been professionally set up. The banjo plays fast!!! The frets do show some light wear on the first five frets. This is just light and only on the first five frets. There is no buzzing and this does not effect function. The fretboard itself is clean. This banjo plays fast and is a fantastic sounding banjo. The Superior case is also in great shape.
