This is an all original tribute banjo to Sonny Osborne by Frank Neat.  This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is a curly maple banjo with a 3 ply hard rock maple shell and gold hardware.  The neck is also curly maple and is a speed neck.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern.  There is w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The headstock has more inlay along with Osborne Chief.  There is a Sonny Osborne signature block in the fretboard.  This also includes a special custom Osborne Chief leather strap and this is the original case.

These are rare limited edition banjo with Sonny Osborne and Frank Neat’s actual signatures on the inside of the resonator.  This is a rare and very desirable banjo.

Condition

This banjo is in stellar condition.  The finish all looks fantastic.  The hardware is also clean with a nice shine.  The neck and fretboard are clean with clean frets.  There is a touch of wear on the first few frets but not much and no function is effected.  There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets.  This is a gorgeous banjo with a clean strap and a sturdy hardshell case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up here at the shop.  This has a clean Remo frosted head that is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a no name bridge and this has Huber .10 gauge strings.  The action is set nicely and is adjustable and this has correct intonation.  This is a very hard to find and very desirable banjo that is all original and clean and plays and sounds incredible.
