2005 Gibson RB7 5 string Banjo Top Tension

This is a 2005 RB7 5 string Banjo that has a repair on the neck under the headstock. This banjo has no functional issues and has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is an RB7 Top Tension Banjo that is in fantastic shape but the neck broke in shipping and has been repaired. The banjo is all original and super clean and has no functional issues plus the repair is a good repair. These are insanely hard to find especially these days and this banjo is ready to go.

This has a maple neck and resonator with all original nickel top tension hardware. The fretboard is rosewood and radiused with a style 7 bowtie inlay. There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator. The flange is a Gibson USA one piece flange and the tone ring is an original Gibson Tone Ring. The fact this is a top tension makes this banjo LOUD with loads of volume and tone. This is all original with the original warranty paperwork and the original case.

Condition

This is in overall great shape despite the neck repair and this has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. The banjo has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed to a shine. The wood has been waxed and the fretboard oiled as well. The frets have a bit of light wear on the first few frets but even the frets are in really good shape. There are spikes at frets 7, 8, 9 and 10. The case is also super clean.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse as well. The head is a new Remo frosted head and is set to 90. This has a Dotson Radiused bridge which is set with correct intonation. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the banjo plays great. This is a great opportunity to get that classic Top Tension sound at a great price that is set up for top performance.
