2006 Gilchrist Model 5 Mandolin
This has sugar maple back and sides. The back is a 2 piece back. The soundboard is solid red spruce with tone bars. The neck is also sugar maple with an ebony fretboard. There is binding on the front and back of the body and each side of the neck. The headstock is also bound and features a gorgeous inlay. This has silver hardware and Waverly tuners. The mandolin is all original and includes a TKL Hardshell Case.
CONDITION
The mandolin is in gorgeous shape. This was definitely well taken care of. The finish is glowing. Even the frets are exceptionally clean. This is an all original mandolin that is in fantastic condition. The neck is straight and this plays great. Gilchrist mandolins have some of the best tone of any mandolin and this is no exception. The case is also in fantastic condition.
