This is a gorgeous Robin Smith Kel Kroydon KK10 copy banjo. This has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is a copy of a Pre War Kel Kroydon. This has the classic mother of toilet seat material that really shines. The banjo has nickel hardware. The same material for the resonator is used on the fretboard. This is really an attractive material. It looks very much like mother of pearl.

The shell is a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. This has a one piece armrest and a Presto style tailpiece. The banjo is all original and really looks fantastic. There are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. This also includes a very nice hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is really clean. This has a real glow to it. The hardware looks fantastic. The neck is straight and clean with a clean fretboard. There is some light wear on the first few frets that doesn’t effect anything. The rest of the frets are clean all the way down. The banjo is definitely a quality piece that has been well taken care of. The case is also clean inside and out.

Set Up

This has been set up here in our shop. This has nice string height (action) which can be adjusted. The banjo also has correct intonation. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head. The head is a frosted 5 star head and this has a Sullivan Historic Bridge. The banjo also has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. This is not only an interesting banjo that looks and sounds incredible this is professionally set up and plays great!!
