This is a Gorgeous and Rare Stelling Master Flower Banjo.  This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

Geoff Stelling has produced some of the finest instruments that have ever been made.  Not only do they produce a phenomenal sound that is unique to Stelling they also are known to be extraordinary players and true works of art.  Even the cosmetic and aesthetic appearance of a Stelling is on the highest level.  Geoff Stelling was inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame last year and is no longer building banjos.  There will be no more.  We are doing whatever we can to find these banjos and they are selling just as fast as we can find them.

This has a Tony Pass Lost Timbre 600TS Shell with all original Stelling Hardware.  This includes a no hole Stelling Tone Ring and a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange.  All of the parts are engraved somewhere with the name Stelling.  The neck and resonator are walnut with w/b/w binding on each side.  There are concentric purfling rings on the back of the resonator which really set the resonator off.  The fretboard is ebony with the Stelling Flower inlay pattern and Master Flower on the neck block.  This banjo is absolutely gorgeous and the abalone truss rod cover gives the banjo an additional bit of class.

This is all original and includes an original case.

Condition

This banjo is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  The banjo has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed to a shine.  The wood has been waxed and also has a nice shine.  The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and the frets are in good shape with only light wear and there are spikes at the 7th-10th frets.  The banjo is gorgeous.

The case has some light wear on the outside but it is truly light.  The case is in great shape and gorgeous inside as well.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  The head is a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Snuffy Smith Bridge and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set.  This is an incredible player that has some very nice tone and a lot of volume as well.
