Description
This is a JD Crowe RB75 BLACKJACK which was made in 2007. This banjo is all original and clean and features the V neck which really sets this banjo off as unique. This is a fantastic example of a Blackjack that is clean and set up with an original case.
This has a Maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator. The fretboard is rosewood and features a custom “Blackjack” inlay. There is binding on each side of the neck and resonator.
The hardware is all original and features copper flashing with Gold. This not only looks super cool this banjo REALLY POPS. This is a serious paint peeler and will turn heads and annoy your wife.
This banjo is very special and in fantastic shape and includes an Original Gibson Case.
Condition
This banjo is in awesome condition.
The copper is in great shape which is very important and hard to find. So many of these have shown up with the copper completely worn off and although a bit of the copper is gone overall the copper is in fantastic shape. The finish is clean as well.
The first few frets have a bit of wear but that effects none of the function. The wear is minor and only on the first few frets, most of the frets are CLEAN. This has spikes at frets 7 and 9. The original case is in fantastic shape. This is for real a clean package.
Set Up
This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Snuffy Smith and this has new Huber strings.
If you know about these you know these are true cannons. This has the V neck, clean copper and is set up to pound ear drums. If you are looking for a Blackjack you are going to have a hard time finding a better example then this.
