2008 Gibson RB250 5 string Banjo

This is a super clean 2008 Gibson RB250 5 string Banjo with a very nice hardshell case.  This banjo has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is the banjo to get if you want the full Gibson sound but don’t want to spend full Gibson dollars.  This is identical to a Gibson RB3 with an ebony fretboard, a fiddle headstock and no concentric rings on the resonator.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  The neck and resonator are mahogany with white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  The fretboard is ebony with a leaves and bows inlay pattern.  This has all original nickel hardware including a Gibson Presto Tailpiece and a Gibson USA One Piece Flange.  This banjo is a banger and absolutely has the pure and true Gibson Tone.  This is all original and includes a deluxe archtop hardshell case.

Condition

This banjo is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  We disassembled the banjo and buffed all of the metal to a nice shine.  The wood has been waxed and the fretboard has been cleaned and oiled.  The back of the resonator has some really light button scratching right in the middle of the resonator and a couple of almost unnoticeable checks.  This is so minor you really have to be in front of the banjo to see it and know it’s there.  The frets and the fretboard are in great shape all the way down the fretboard and there are no spikes in the fretboard.  This is definitely a very very clean banjo and the case is also in great shape.

Set Up

This also has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is set with correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action is set nicely.  This banjo not only pops this is a smoking player too.
