Description

Geoff Stelling has made some of the finest and most respected Banjos in the History of Banjo. This is a very clean and very powerful example of a Stelling Banjo. Geoff Stelling has retired and is no longer making banjos which has caused Stelling Banjos to become hard to find and very desirable.

This has a Tony Pass Lost Timbre 600TS Shell. The neck and resonator are both mahogany. This has nickel hardware which is all original including a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange and a No Hole Stelling Tone Ring. This has an ebony fretboard with the Crusader inlay pattern including some very attractive crosses.

This banjo is all original and very clean and includes an original hardshell case. This banjo has a loud and full rich tone with a lot of power.

Condition and Set Up

This banjo is in extraordinary condition and has been cleaned in our shop. All of the hardware has been disassembled and buffed and polished. The metal basically looks new. All of the finish is in great shape as well. The frets and fretboard are in great shape and there are spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10. This banjo is absolutely gorgeous and has a clean original case.

We put a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Stelling Bridge and this has new Huber strings. The banjo is not only a powerful and very attractive instrument we have it set up for maximum performance.
