2013 Deering Golden Wreath 5 string Banjo

This is an all original Deering Golden Wreath 5 string Banjo. This really has that traditional Bluegrass sound. The banjo has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This is a mahogany banjo with an ebony fretboard with wreath inlay. The hardware is nickel. This was made with a Gold tone ring which the Golden Wreath banjos are not made with anymore. This really has the traditional sound with the mahogany, gold and ebony. The banjo really pops!!! There is white binding on each side of the neck and fretboard. This banjo sounds INCREDIBLE with that tone ring and any banjo player would be thrilled to own it. Includes an original Deering Hardshell Case.

Condition

This banjo is gorgeous. The wood and finish all look fantastic. The headstock has some sort of small smudge but that can only be seen if looking up close. The hardware is glowing!! This is a really attractive banjo. The frets are clean but the first few frets do show some light wear. There are spikes at frets 7-10. This is definitely clean with an original case that is in good shape.

Set Up

This has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. The banjo has comfortable action and this really has some tone. The banjo also has great volume. This has proper intonation. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head. This has a frosted Remo Head which is clean. The bridge is a Deering 5/8 bridge with an ebony cap. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.
