2014 Huber VRBG 5 string Banjo

This is a 2014 Huber VRBG that is absolutely gorgeous with a Superior Hardshell Case.  The banjo has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This has a curly maple resonator with a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  The hardware is gold and engraved.  Steve Huber does his own gold plating and it is regarded as the best Gold work done today by many.  The neck is also curly maple and this has a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern.  There is w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator (white with a black pinstripe).  This has a Huber Truetone shell and a Huber HR30 Tone ring.  The banjo is all original and this also has a Superior Case which is the original case.

Huber has been able to almost perfectly reproduce the sound of the pre war Gibson banjos.  This has the classic tone that some will pay $250,000 for the original version of this banjo.  This has lots of body, depth, projection and volume.  You will not be upset with your Huber Banjo.

Condition

This is definitely a clean banjo.  The finish looks incredible with basically no blemishes.  The gold is gorgeous and really shines.  The neck and fretboard are clean as well.  There is a bit of fretwear on the first few frets but that does not affect the function.  There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets.  This banjo is absolutely gorgeous and was very well taken care of and the case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  This has a new Huber frosted head and new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  The bridge is also a Huber bridge with an ebony cap.  The head has been set to 90 on a drum dial.  The neck is straight and this is set up with nice action which is adjustable.  This also has correct intonation.  This is a powerhouse banjo that looks fantastic and has been set up to sound and play like a dream.
