2015 Martin 1941 D28 Authentic Acoustic Guitar

This was a reissue by Martin that essentially duplicated the manufacturing methods used on a 1941 Martin D28. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

This has Madagascar Rosewood sides and back and an Adirondack Spruce top. The neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fretboard. The fretboard has dot position markers. This has herringbone binding on the top of the guitar and white binding on the top and back of the sides. There is black binding on each side of the neck.

This guitar has a VTS or Vintage Tone System which is a torrefaction system that Martin can duplicate tones from woods made in different time periods. This is a major plus. The guitar was made with Hyde Glue and has identical appointments such as the neck barrel, heel, diamond, head taper and slots. This is a fantastic reissue that produces a tone that would compare with a $100,000 plus vintage guitar. This also includes the original case and tags.

Condition

This guitar is in stellar condition. The finish is clean all the way around. This has a really nice shine to the finish. The neck and fretboard are also clean with clean frets. There is a hint of wear on the first few frets but not much at all. This is a clean guitar that was well taken care of. This is set up to get maximum tone and volume and this is a fantastic playing guitar also.
