2016 Stelling Staghorn 5 string Banjo

This is a super clean 2016 Stelling Staghorn that is all original with the original case. This has been inspected, cleaned and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a gorgeous Staghorn that is only a few years old. The Staghorn is probably the most popular model for Stelling Banjos. This has a Tony Pass Lost Timbre shell and a no hole tone ring. The resonator is walnut along with the neck. The fretboard is ebony and has gorgeous inlay. The pearl that was used on this is definitely top grade and the inlay really stands out. The neck and resonator each have white binding on each side along with abalone binding on each side. The hardware is nickel. This has a one piece armrest and a Stelling engraved armrest. The flange has ribbons which looks really classy. The headstock also has beautiful abalone inlay along with the Stelling logo.

We take every banjo that comes through here completely apart and we do a $200 cleaning. The hardware looks new and this is as close to a new banjo as you can get without actually buying a new banjo. This is also all original including the original Stelling head and bridge. The banjo also includes an original hardshell case.

Condition

This banjo is gorgeous. The hardware glows. This is a shiny banjo. The finish and wood also look fantastic. All of the abalone inlay really pops. The neck and fretboard are in great shape. There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets. The frets are in exceptional condition. This is clean all over which makes sense because the banjo is only a few years old. The original case is also super clean inside and out.

Set Up

The banjo is professionally set up. This has an original Stelling head which is clean and set to 90 on a drum dial. The banjo has correct intonation. The action is also set up well and is adjustable. This plays great and has some major tone. This is a gorgeous banjo that is super clean and has been professionally set up to sound and play like a dream. This is the banjo you are looking for.
