This is a nearly unused Yates Style 4 (Walnut). These are $5750 new and this is basically new. The banjo has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

Warren Yates is not only making top quality Pre War Style Banjos but these also are aged (relic’d) in his shop. Yates Banjos have the true Pre War Feel on top of Look and Tone.

This has a Yates aged shell with a beautiful Walnut Neck and Resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The hardware is all nickel and distressed. This has a one piece flange and a Yates No Hole Tone ring. This is a very special banjo that every piece has been designed to produce a $100,000 sound for $5000. This is all original and in factory new condition with an original Yates Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is in phenomenal shape. Since this is already aged I will just say the frets and fretboard are in essentially perfect condition. There are spikes at frets 7,8, and 9. This is perfect and the case is perfect also.

Set Up

This has been set up at our shop. The head is a Remo Frosted Head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Yates. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this banjo is playing like butter.

Yates is truly making a mark on the world of the Pre War Style Banjo. This Style 4 is exceptional.
