This is a Used Davis RB1 that is popping loud but still light weight. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

Tim Davis is making some of the best banjos built today. He makes them in North Carolina and has several endorsing artists and loyal fans.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a maple neck and resonator. The neck has a speed neck which does help to play faster. The rest of the finish is original and this also has all of the original hardware. The tone ring is a rolled brass tone hoop which helps this be so light while still producing some tone and volume. The banjo weighs 8 pounds and 13.6 ounces. That is light.

This also includes a Tweed TKL hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. This has been disassembled and all of the hardware buffed to a nice shine. The finish has been waxed and shines as well. The fretboard is clean and the frets are in great shape also. There are spikes at frets 7-9. This is truly beautiful and the case is really clean as well.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta as well. This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo which is set to 90. The bridge is a new Huber bridge as well and is set correctly. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays great with some great sound. This banjo is cleaned and set up to be at its peak.
