This is a great buy on a Gold Star GF85.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

The Gold Star GF85 is a well respected model that will give you a fantastic sound and this can be bought cheap.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  The resonator and neck are both mahogany and this has a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator.  This has a one piece armrest and a Presto Tailpiece.  This also has Gibson coordinator rods.  The Presto and the coordinator rods would be an upgrade.  3 of the tuners are original and one is not.  This also is missing one thumb screw and one missing resonator wall lug.  This showed up as a pile of parts and we piece it back together with some new parts.

This is a great banjo that definitely is quality and this also has the original hardshell case.

Condition

This is in great condition.  The resonator is clean as is the hardware.  This really looks killer.  The neck and fretboard are also both clean.  The first few frets show some wear but that does not effect the function at all.  The rest of the frets look great.  This is definitely a good looking banjo and the case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The banjo also has a new Huber bridge and new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  The action is set well and is adjustable.  The banjo also has correct intonation.  This is a great value and is set up to play and sound great!
