This is a Pre Owned Gold Tone Twanger 5 string Banjo which is a special edition by Gold Tone.  This has been fully inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This has a mahogany resonator with nickel hardware.  The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern.  This has a one piece armrest and a Presto style tailpiece.  This is all original.  There is white binding on each side of the neck and resonator and the headstock has inlay work as well.  This design is meant to be a Pre War style design and they did a good job of duplicating the Pre War sound.  These are very hot right now and this banjo has only been out for maybe a year.  This also includes an original Gold Tone hardshell case.

Condition

Overall this is in extraordinary condition.  The only blemish at all is a couple of very light scratches on the surface of the finish on the back of the resonator.  Other than that this is basically perfect.

The hardware looks fantastic.  It is glowing!!  The neck and fretboard are both clean with clean frets.  The banjo has been well taken care of and is not very old to begin with.  The original case is also super clean.

Set Up

This has a Remo frosted head.  The bridge has a B with two lines drawn through the lower hoop.  I don’t know who made that bridge but it is maple with an ebony cap.  The head is set to 90 on a drum dial.  This has nice (string height) action which is fully adjustable and correct intonation.  This is a super cool Pre War style banjo that looks great and is set up to play and sound incredible!
