This is a super cool tenor banjo that was made by Jida in Japan years ago.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This was made in Japan probably in the 1980’s and some of the best banjos have come from Japan during this era.  This is a tenor and is in fantastic condition.

The neck and resonator are mahogany.  This has nickel hardware and a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern.  This is all original with a one piece armrest and a vintage tailpiece.  The tone ring is a full size tone ring which gives this a full and very nice tone.  This is definitely a quality tenor banjo that is all original and looks great.  This also includes a vintage chipboard hardshell case.

Condition

This is in stellar condition.  The finish and the wood look great and really shine.  The hardware is also clean and has a really nice glow.  We take all of these banjos apart and buff the metal, wax the wood and oil the fretboard so they are in top condition.  The neck and fretboard are also clean and the frets show basically no wear.  This is absolutely gorgeous and the case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge has no name but I can say this has correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action feels great.  This plays great and also has some great tone and volume.  This is a steal for the quality of instrument this is.  I have a lot of super cool Vintage Japanese Banjos for sale, check out my website to see more.
