This is a super cool Strat Relic made by Kelton Suare prior to the Fender lawsuit.  This has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Description

Unfortunately I don’t know all of the specifics of this guitar but I can say that Kelton Swade has a stellar reputation amongst professionals for producing reissue electrics that mirror the guitars of the 1950’s and 1960’s.  This appears to be in the style of a late 1950’s or early 1960’s strat.

This has a blue gray finish that has been relicd to give it the appearance of age.  There are 3 single coil pickups along with a volume and 2 tone knobs plus a 3 way switch.  The neck is a one piece maple neck that also has been relicd.  What I do know about this guitar is it was made prior to a lawsuit with Fender that forced Kelton Swade to modify the shape of the headstocks.  This headstock is identical to an authentic Fender headstock which is significant.

This also has jumbo frets, and a bridge, pickguard and tuners that are wonderful reproductions of a vintage Fender guitar.  This is absolutely a professional quality electric that truly any player would love no matter their level of skill.  This includes a tweed hardshell case.

Condition

The guitar has been intentionally distressed so this shows a lot of wear but that was done during production.  The finish on the body shows wear, the fretboard, the metal has been aged, even the plastic has yellowed.  However the frets are super clean so this had to have been well taken care of and played lightly.  This is set up to play fast and really produce a magnificent tone.  This is a top notch guitar that has a good layer of relicing but has been well taken care of.  The case is also clean.

This is one of the finest relicd guitars I have seen come through here.  This is so good that if it had a Fender spaghetti logo it may fool some experts.  Whatever the case may be any player would love this and I’m thrilled to have it in the shop.  We have a lot of guitars for sale on top of more professional grade pre owned 5 string banjos than any store on earth!!  CHECK US OUT!!
