Description

Mitch Meadors is doing a wonderful job of making some fantastic Pre War Gibson Replica Banjos. This features his .38 Special Tone Ring and is absolutely a professional quality American made Banjo.

This has a curly maple neck and resonator with a rosewood fretboard that has Bowtie inlay. The hardware is nickel and all original including a one piece flange and a .38 Special Tone Ring. There is binding on each side of the neck and resonator, a one piece armrest and a Presto Tailpiece. This is a powerful banjo that does a wonderful job of paying homage to the Pre War Banjos we love so much.

Condition

This was very well taken care of and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. This has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed to a glow. The wood has all been waxed to a shine. The frets and fretboard show basically no wear and look new. The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and there are spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. This is absolutely gorgeous and the original case is also clean.

Set Up

This has also been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Gary Sosebee and is set properly. The banjo has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays like butter. This is a cannon that is a thrill to play!!!!
