New BLEM Recording King RKR36 5 string Banjo

This is a brand new Recording King Banjo that got a blemish at the shop.  This has a mistake in the holes drilled for spikes.  This has no functional issues, the blemish is purely cosmetic.

Description

This has a mahogany resonator with a gloss finish and nickel hardware.  The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard.  The fretboard has seagulls inlaid and the headstock does as well.  The armrest is a one piece armrest and the tailpiece is a Presto style tailpiece.  The blemish occurred when I was training someone how to install spikes.  One of the holes was not drilled clean and one was a bit large.  There are closeups on the ad.

This blemish could easily and cheaply be filled in and if someone added spikes there it would be almost invisible.  The banjo itself has no functional issues and is in really good shape.

Set Up

This has a new Recording King frosted head.  The bridge is a Recording King bridge with an ebony cap.  This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings.  The head is set to 90 on a drum dial.  In addition this is set up with nice string height and correct intonation.  This is a great opportunity to get a solid deal on a New but Blemished RKR36 banjo.  These sell for $1149 brand new.
