This is an absolutely stunning Gold Plated Morgan Monroe Appalachia that was never played. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

Morgan Monroe was the original super high quality Chinese Banjo Company. This banjo would be a $6500 banjo if it was Made in America and features some of the most beautiful appointments possible. This particular banjo was basically never played and is a New Old Stock piece that looks new.

This has a curly maple neck and resonator with gold hardware. The flange is a one piece flange and this has a full size 20 hole tone ring. The armrest is engraved and this has a clam shell tailpiece. The gold is gorgeous and looks basically untouched. The fretboard is ebony and features some beautiful vine inlay. The headstock also has inlay work including the Morgan Monroe logo. The tuners are gold plated and also look new. This banjo is absolutely stunning in every way and would be impossible to reproduce for this price in China today, or anywhere for that matter. The case is original.

Condition

This is in essentially new condition. The finish shines and the gold has a really nice glow. The frets and the fretboard are perfect. There are spikes at the 7th,9th and 10th frets. The only wear on this really is the case. There is some wear on the outside of the case but not the inside. The banjo itself is stunning and nearly untouched.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta. This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The bridge is set with correct intonation. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. The banjo is a phenomenal player as well.
