NEW Recording King RKR36 5 string Banjo

This is a BRAND NEW Recording King RKR36 Banjo which has a finish crack in the side of the resonator from being on display.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

The Recording King Banjos come from the mind of Greg Rich who once successfully redesigned the entire Gibson Banjo line.  He is a legend amongst serious banjo players and builders and these banjos are his design.  This is a powerful Bluegrass style flathead banjo and it is amazing these can be bought as low as they can, new.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell.  The neck and resonator are both mahogany with a gloss finish.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Seagull inlay pattern.  This has nickel hardware including a one piece flange and a 20 hole Pre War style tone ring.  This is not only gorgeous this is loud and has the classic banjo twang.  The banjo is professionally set up and includes a hardshell case.

Condition

This is new but there is a circular finish crack on the side of the resonator.  This has been on display for some time which is likely what caused that.  The banjo is new otherwise and includes a used hardshell case.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Remo frosted head which we set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is set with correct intonation and the action is set nicely.  This is a great chance to save a little money on what is one of the more popular bluegrass banjos.
