This is a very good quality Pisgah Openback Banjo which is great for Clawhammer and Folk style playing. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is an openback 5 string Banjo that is made out of maple. This has a 12 inch maple rim with nickel hardware. The neck is also maple with a maple fretboard. There is a frailing scoop at the end of the fretboard which is great for clahwammer. The neck has wood binding and there is a wood armrest. This is a very earthy instrument with fantastic tone for folk style music.

The PIsgah mission is to create affordable, professional quality, handcrafted banjos using 100% Native Appalachian Hardwoods. They are located just outside of Asheville North Carolina. This banjo is a fantastic example of just that and someone is going to get a fantastic clawhammer banjo here. This also includes a Superior Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is definitely in really good shape. This could not have been played much. All of the wood is clean and the hardware also looks great. The neck and fretboard are clean and this has clean frets. The Superior case is also in great shape with no functional issues and definitely is a good looking case. If you don’t know Superior cases are truly fantastic cases so that is a really nice piece of this item.

Set Up

This has a frosted head with a Kat eye bridge. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial and the banjo has correct intonation. This has comfortable action that still produces great tone. This is a great sounding banjo that is set up to play and sound its best.
