This is a Pre Owned but barely used Recording King RKR35 Banjo.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a Pre Owned RKR35 Banjo that is in virtually new condition.  I can’t find any wear including the frets but technically this is used.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a maple neck and resonator.  The finish is a very attractive satin finish and there is white binding on the neck and resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood and there is a Seagull inlay pattern.  This has all original nickel hardware including a one piece flange and 20 hole Mastertone Style Tone Ring.  This is a phenomenal banjo that was designed by Greg Rich after the Pre War Gibson Banjos.  This is all original except for a new Truss Rod Cover and includes a hardshell case.

Condition

This is in stellar condition.  The hardware is gorgeous and really glows.  The neck and resonator are spotless as is the fretboard and frets.  We have oiled the fretboard but it really didn’t need it.  There are spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10.  The new truss rod cover required an additional screw hole but that is covered by the truss rod cover and is not visible.  The case is a Guardian Archtop which is a nice case but there is some wear on the outside.  The inside of the case is very clean and the case is absolutely sturdy and functional.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  This has a new Remo Frosted Head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Grover and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays GREAT!!!!  This is a stellar banjo that is set up and cleaned up and ready to go.
