Description

This is an incredible conversion banjo and I am dead serious when I say this is a hoss.

This is a Pre War TB2 Shell and Resonator which was taken to Frank Neat to convert to a 4. The resonator was reskinned Walnut and Frank made a Walnut neck with a rosewood fretboard and Flying Eagle inlay.

The tension hoop and flange are off a 1950’s or 1960’s Gibson, the tailpiece is a Grover Patent Presto and the armrest is a Vintage Gibson armrest. This has Pre War tuners plus Keith D Tuners. The 5th string tuner is a new geared tuner with a Pre War button. The banjo has a Blaylock Tone Ring. Plus this includes a Superior Hardshell Case.

Condition

This banjo is in good shape. The finish on the neck and resonator looks fantastic. The fretboard and frets are clean all the way down and this has spikes at frets 7,8 and 9. The hardware is in good shape with standard tarnish for a Vintage Banjo. The case is in very good condition as well.

Set Up

This is set up with a new Remo head which is set to 90. This has a Bridge marked P and new Huber strings. The banjo is a great example of a Pre War conversion Banjo at a great price and is set up to maximize performance.
