This is a super cool copy of a Pre War style reissue Martin Guitar.  This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This has a Solid Honduran Mahogany body and neck.  The top is Torrefied Solid Adirondack Spruce.  This has an ebony fretboard.  These guitars are absolutely the best reproductions of the Pre War style construction I have seen and they use some very serious methods to produce this tone.  The wood has been torrefied which ages the wood and helps it have that old sound.  They use a very thin layer of finish which also helps tremendously with getting the vintage tone.  This guitar has forward bracing, Hyde glue and has some relicing which is distress added to the instrument to make it also look aged.  This happens to be a level 3 relic which indicates how much distress has been done to the guitar.

This not only looks and sounds like a Pre War Guitar it also feels like one.  We have a handful of true Pre War built guitars around the shop and it is shocking how close this is to the original thing.  This is all original and includes a very nice hardshell case.

Condition

Someone put a pickup in the guitar and there is now an input jack on the bottom of the body.  The install also wasn’t the cleanest installation.  There is a picture.  Other than that the guitar shows little wear from use.

This has been relic’d so it appears to be worn but the actual condition based on real playwear is fantastic.  The frets look basically untouched.  This does show what appears to be a lot of pickwear but that was put on at the factory.  The neck and fretboard are in really good shape.  This is definitely a guitar that has been treated well but it was made to appear that it was well played.
