This is from the Recording King American Banjo series.  This is a phenomenal banjo that is a Greg Rich design.

Description

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a gorgeous curly maple neck and resonator.  The hardware is all nickel and includes a one piece flange.  This has a rosewood fretboard with some incredible inlay and the headstock veneer also has inlay work.  Presto style tailpiece and one piece amrest.

If this banjo said Gibson this would be a $3500-$4000 banjo.  This has the tone and is a wonderful way for someone to get the Greg Rich sound at a great price!  This is all original and includes the original hardshell case.

Condition

This banjo is in phenomenal shape and has been professionally cleaned.  The frets look great with almost no sign of any use.  The banjo was disassembled and I buffed all the metal, waxed the wood and oiled the fretboard.  This is absolutely gorgeous and in great shape.  The case is also super clean.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse as well.  I put on a new Recording King head which is set to 90 on the drum dial.  The bridge is a Grover Bridge and this is set with correct intonation.  The string height feels great and this also plays well.
