This is a gorgeous and very clean Pre Owned Recording King RKR36 Banjo. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

The Recording King Banjos were designed by Greg Rich in the spirit of the Pre War Gibson Banjos. This is the most popular model of Recording King.

This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a mahogany resonator and nickel hardware. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a seagull inlay pattern. This has gloss finish which looks incredible. There is also white binding on each side of the neck and resonator. This is all original except for some D tuners on the 2nd and 3rd strings. That would be an upgrade. This has an original one piece armrest and an original Presto Style Tailpiece.

This banjo has got a lot of pop and bang and it makes sense this is the most popular Recording King Banjo. This also includes a deluxe archtop Recording King hardshell case which is another upgrade. This in my opinion is the best value on a professional grade banjo that exists. The fact there is an extra couple hundred dollars in savings because it is pre owned is another nice point.

Condition

This banjo is really clean. Some stores may try to just sell this as new. The finish and wood look great. The hardware definitely looks great and has a nice glow. The neck and fretboard are both clean and this has clean frets. In fact the frets are pretty close to perfect. This was well taken care of and had to be lightly played and the case is also in good shape.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The banjo has a no name bridge which I believe is original. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. This is set up to play fast and loud and the action is adjustable. This also has correct intonation.
