Scott Vestal Stealth 5 string Banjo

This is a special design by Scott Vestal with the 5th string tuner at the peghead. The banjo was made by Robin Smith. This has been inspected and set up here at the Banjo Warehouse.

Stealth 5 string Banjo Description

This is a mahogany banjo with nickel hardware. This has a one piece armrest and a Presto Tailpiece. The neck is also mahogany and this has an ebony fretboard. There are no dots on the fretboard but there are dots on the side of the neck. This gives it more of a Stealth like look. This has a narrow peghead with 5 tuning keys. The 5th string runs inside the neck and there is not a 5th string tuner on the side of the neck. This has a Curis Mcpeake tone ring which is original to the banjo. The fretboard is radiused. This is a fantastic and very unique banjo. This is all original.

Condition

This is gorgeous and looks almost untouched. The finish and hardware are all glowing. The neck is in great shape with a clean fretboard. The frets are also clean with only minimal wear on only the first few frets. There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets. This is definitely in fantastic condition all the way around.

Set Up

This has been set up here in the shop. This plays great and has correct intonation. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial all the way around the head. There is a frosted Remo Head with new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. This looks great, is a cool design, sounds great, is in fantastic condition and plays like a dream!!! This is a rare and unique banjo that normally costs $4700 and these do not come up for sale used very often. Includes an Archtop Hardshell Case.
