Description

This is an American Made banjo that is of professional quality.  This features an unplated Blaylock Tone Ring and this banjo has a lot of pop.  This is a superb value on an American Made Banjo.  I do want to mention the neck has a repair which is pictured but the banjo has zero functional issues and is ready to go.

This has a maple shell with I believe a mahogany resonator.  I cannot tell what kind of wood the neck is but it is clearly very high quality with some really nice grain.  The hardware is nickel including a one piece flange.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay.  This is a really nice banjo that has been put together to maximize tone.

Two of the thumb screws are not original.  I think the resonator is not the original resonator for this banjo but it works no problem.  I also believe the clamshell tailpiece was not original to this banjo but it could be called an upgrade.  This is a great quality banjo but it does have a repaired neck and probably a new resonator.  This also includes a hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is in really good shape.  The hardware looks great and has a nice shine.  The finish on the neck and resonator also look great and have been waxed to a shine.  The frets and fretboard are in really good shape also.  There are no spikes but there was a 5th string capo which was removed.  There are a couple of exposed screw holes on the side of the neck from that capo.  Those effect nothing.  The banjo is in really good shape and the case is clean as well.

Set Up

This has a Remo frosted head which has been set to 90.  The bridge is a Sullivan and this has Huber strings.  The banjo has also been set up all the way around to operate at peak performance.
