This is a stunning and all original Aria Pro 2 5 string Banjo from Japan.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

The Japanese Banjos from the 1970’s are really developing a following particularly the old Aria Pro 2 and Ibanez Masterclones plus the Gold Star Banjos.  This is all original and really has the POP.

This has a thick multi ply maple shell with a maple neck and resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood with a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern.  The hardware is all original and all chrome including a full size 20 hole tone ring and a one piece flange.  This has the original engraved armrest and original tailpiece.  This is a very nice banjo that takes you all the way back to the 1970’s!!!  This also includes the original hardshell case.

Condition

This is in fantastic condition and has been professionally cleaned at our shop.  The hardware has been disassembled and buffed with a high powered buffer to a very nice shine.  The finish looks great and has been waxed to a shine.  The fretboard is clean and the frets look untouched.  There also is a 5th string capo.  The case is in great shape with the normal binding having come off.  The case is clean and functional and strong.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  The head is a new Remo frosted head and is set to 90.  This has a New Dotson Bridge and the intonation is set.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays GREAT!!  This banjo is a stellar Masterclone style banjo that looks great and plays like a dream with tone oozing all night long.
