Description

Vintage Alvarez Silver Belle that is all original and in fantastic shape with a clean original case. This is a nice example of a basic Vintage Japanese Masterclone.

The banjo is modeled after the Gibson RB250 Banjos of the 1970’s. The shell is maple and similar dimensions to a Gibson. The neck and resonator are mahogany and the fretboard is ebony with Hearts and flowers.

The hardware is chrome and all original. The tone ring is a mastertone style tone ring and this has a 2 piece flange. The banjo is quality, mass produced but still quality. It is also always nice to get a nice aged instrument around. This includes the original case.

Condition

This banjo is definitely in great shape. There are a couple of dings and nicks on the banjo, particularly the back of the headstock, but this almost perfect. This banjo looks really good and the original case is in great shape as well.

We do take most of these apart and detail them so that was done with this banjo. The metal has been polished as has the finish. The fretboard is clean and has been oiled. The frets are in good shape and this has no spikes or 5th string capo, and there never has been either.

Set Up

This has been set up with a new Remo head and Huber strings. The bridge has no name. This banjo is a really cool piece of Japanese Music Production history. This is a strong instrument that absolutely is regularly used even by professionals for gigging and other needs. The banjo also looks great and is set up and ready to go!
