This is a vintage 5 string Banjo that was made in Korea by Orion. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a vintage Orion 5 string Banjo that was made in Korea either in the 1960’s or 1970’s. This has an aluminum rim and flange which is one piece. The neck and resonator are mahogany and this has a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has block inlay which looks great. This is all original with a wooden armrest which looks classy.

This would be a good banjo for a beginner or for someone that wants something they can play around the house or camping. This has no case.

Condition

We professionally clean every banjo that comes through our shop. This has been disassembled and we buffed the metal with a high powered buffer. The wood has been waxed and this banjo basically looks new. The fretboard has been oiled and that looks and plays great. This almost looks like a new banjo and it’s amazing to think this is a half of a century old.

Set Up

We also professionally set up every banjo that comes through our shop. This has a plastic head which has been set to 90 on a drum dial. The bridge is a Grover and is set to correct intonation. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays great. This is a really neat vintage banjo that is all original and looks and plays great with good tone.
