Description

Geoff Stelling has made some of the finest banjos in the history of banjo. He is retiring this year and was inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame last year. This all has caused a great deal of interest in his banjos and they have become scarce and expensive. We are searching all over the world to have any of his banjos at all available.

This has an upgraded Tony Pass 600TS Lost Timbre Shell which is common. This shell is regarded as the shell to have on a Stelling Banjo. The neck and resonator are walnut and this has an ebony fretboard. The fretboard has a Flower inlay pattern which is gorgeous. This has purfling concentric rings on the resonator which is a very classy touch.

The hardware is all original except for a Fults 1934 Tailpiece which is a huge upgrade as well. The tone ring is a Stelling No Hole Ring and the flange is a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange. This is a phenomenal banjo that also includes an original Stelling Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is in fantastic shape and has been professionally cleaned at our shop. The hardware has been disassembled and buffed with a high powered buffer to a glow. The finish was already clean but we have waxed that to a shine as well. The frets and fretboard are in great shape. This has spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10. This is beautiful with a clean original case.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Scorpion Bridge which in my opinion is the best bridge. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this is a stellar player. This is truly a top quality pro grade banjo in every way and is professionally prepared to rock.
