This is a gorgeous and high end Wildwood 5 string Banjo.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is an absolutely gorgeous banjo.  Wildwood is known for not just making professional quality instruments but making banjos that are works of art.  This is no exception.

This has a block maple shell with a flamed maple neck and resonator.  The hardware is nickel.  This has a rosewood fretboard with a custom and very attractive inlay pattern.  The headstock has some major attractive inlay work along with the Wildwood logo. There is checkerboard binding on each side of the neck and resonator along with white binding.  The banjo is all original with a 20 hole nickel plated tone ring.  The neck is a 2 piece neck which does produce a stronger neck.  This is absolutely a professional quality banjo that plays, sounds and looks incredible.  This comes with a very nice Superior Hardshell Case which is probably also the original case.

Condition

This is in stellar condition.  All of the wood and finish look fantastic.  The hardware basically looks new and has a really nice glow.  The neck and fretboard are both clean and the frets show basically no wear.  There are spikes at the 7th, 9th and 10th frets.  This is absolutely gorgeous and the case is also clean.

Set Up

This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.  This has the original head which is set to 90 on a drum dial.  The bridge is a Snuffy Smith Bridge which has correct intonation.  The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action feels great.  This is a wonderful player with superb tone.  This banjo probably cost $4500 new because it is such a high end banjo but you can get this all original, clean and set up for basically half of that.
