Words won’t be able to describe how awesome of an experience I had visiting Geoff and Andy but I’m sure going to try. I recently visited the banjo warehouse to listen to several different rings for a conversion I’m doing and also hopefully meet my childhood hero who wrote the books that I’ve learned from 20 years ago. I spent 5 hours there and not once did I feel rushed or that I was taking up too much time. No sales pitches or pressure in anyway. I got to talk about banjos, components and music while playing songs and learning new things in person from the master. I couldn’t have been more grateful for such a cool experience. Towards the end of the day, I picked up and played a 1932 Gibson that was just incredible. Because I flew in, they shipped it to me which was packaged unbelievably well and was still in tune when I unboxed it. Here soon I’ll be shipping him a banjo that I’m trading for another and I’m super excited for it. I’ll be sure to try and stop by each time I’m in the area. The way I was treated was truly first class. This place just brings happiness to the soul and you won’t find better people than Geoff and Andy.

I recently obtained a Gibson Granada from these gentlemen. I traded a mint ’92 RB3 Wreath which was damaged by FedEx in shipping. They all accommodated the trade without issue, and assisted with my FedEx insurance claim successfully. Thank you both so much!!!

I purchased a Hatfield Buckcreek from banjo warehouse. Banjo was perfectly set up. Plays and sounds great. Ordered it on Sunday and received it on Wednesday. Banjo was packed up nice and tight for shipping. Highly recommend Hohwald banjo warehouse. Awesome people to do business with.

Thanks for the great service. I got the Goodtime banjo today. I’ve been playing banjo for a long time and have 2 Goldstar resonator banjos. This is a REALLY nice banjo! I wanted one to play around the house and always listen to different banjos carefully on line. I finally decided to try one. It’s set up really well. It sounds so pure too. I don’t know if I’m just getting older but the warmer tones sound so much more pleasant to me lately. Especially picking by myself. Not too many people here to jam with. Thanks for the spikes too. I bought from you because I knew the banjo would have been looked over. The time you take for others can make people happy for a long time. I can already tell I’ll be picking this one up a lot and enjoying it. Thanks for caring about what you do.

Ordered my banjo on Tuesday night, received it Friday morning in excellent condition! Sonny Osborne Chief, 2005! Looks almost new, excellent set up, action perfect. I had never bought a banjo before without seeing and playing it first and was quite uneasy about it. Andy did a great job assuring me I had seven days to try it out and return if I wanted to for any reason. Needless to say he will not be getting this banjo back, sounds amazing! Highly recommend these folks for anything musical. The set up alone is worth a lot. Great folks!!!

Went down and made a trade with the guys, I highly recommended them due to their education on banjos and honest deal, give them a call to buy sell or trade they will be honest, and most likely will have what you want, it’s banjo heaven.

This is a great place to buy a banjo. Not a big box store with every instrument in the world blaring out in the background while you try to hear what yours sounds like, but a family owned and operated business that is extremely personal. Huge selection where taking your time and comparing instruments is highly encouraged. Geoff and Andy are great to work with and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I bought a banjo and got home and changed my mind and wanted a different banjo. No problem, they even met me there late at night and the exchange was simple, no questions, no penalties. I know where I’m going for my next banjo, highly recommended. Great website too.

I recently purchased a 1926 TB3 flathead conversion from Geoff Hohwald and Banjo Warehouse. It was at a VERY reasonable price, and all I can say is that it is a beautiful banjo. The sound is incredible, just what I expected, and it has at least 2 important components of a pre-war Mastertone. Of course, the neck is not, but it is absolutely beautiful and perfect in all respects. I am totally MORE than satisfied with the banjo. Geoff was very easy to work with, and I would not hesitate to buy another instrument from him. Thanks Geoff!

Purchased a Huber VRB-4 from Geoff. Awesome experience. Let me play as long as I wanted… he even played along on guitar to let me hear the banjo in context with a group setting. Can’t say enough good things about my experience. Definitely recommend and will shop with him again.

It was professionally wrapped and shipped. I had no issues with it. It was even still in tune when I opened the case. Thanks Geoff for my new love.

Flew down to Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and spent the better part of a day picking on and comparing banjos from the late 1920’s to the 1990s. Flew home with a really great one I can’t wait to pick up every day. The Hohwalds both father and son were very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience with a great outcome.
