If you’ve ever wished your ukulele could cut through the mix like a full-sized resonator guitar, the Gold Tone ResoUke is the answer you’ve been waiting for. This is one of the most unique instruments in my shop, and I absolutely love it.
The ResoUke pairs a resonant brass body with a genuine biscuit cone resonator to deliver that unmistakable “talking” tone that resonator instruments are famous for. The 14″ concert scale makes it comfortable and familiar for any uke player, but the sound? That’s a whole different animal. This little instrument projects with authority—perfect for jam sessions, acoustic gigs, or just turning heads at your local ukulele club.
Gold Tone really thought through the design on this one. The coverplate features a removable palm rest, which means you can adjust string action, break angle, or swap out the Canadian hard rock maple bridge saddle without removing the entire coverplate or loosening your strings. That’s the kind of player-friendly engineering I appreciate. The palm rest can even be shimmed to different heights for perfect right-hand comfort.
The mahogany neck feels great in your hand, and the rosewood fingerboard with 19 nickel silver frets gives you plenty of range to explore. The bone nut and 14:1 geared Kluson-style tuners ensure rock-solid intonation and tuning stability. Gold Tone strings this one with custom-gauged nylon strings optimized for the resonator’s response.
The brushed aluminum finish looks absolutely stunning—vintage and modern at the same time. This instrument weighs just 2.5 pounds, so it’s easy to play all night long. Includes a heavy-duty padded gig bag to keep your ResoUke protected on the road.
Every Gold Tone instrument is set up at their facility in Titusville, Florida before it ships, so you know this one is ready to play right out of the bag.
