Description
Gold Tone may be the most undervalued Banjo Company today. Their philosophy of more bang for the buck and their commitment to have the ultimate selection of Banjos has led to some of the greatest values on the coolest banjos that the world has ever seen. This banjo is absolutely a banjo that could be used in professional applications, this is loud with wonderful tone, this plays great and is a professional quality design. If you want to find the best value on Banjo look no further, Gold Tone is it.
Want to lose three pounds and still play a banjo with traditional beauty and great tone? This Orange Blossom model, rather than employing a brass tone ring, features a “tone rim”. The high-quality multi-ply maple rim is machined into the shape of a flat head tone ring, but its all-wood design puts your OB-250 on a diet. If you’re troubled with neck or shoulder fatigue during those long parking lot jams, THIS is your banjo. All other OB-250 features are here, including curly maple binding on the maple neck and resonator, GT-Master planetary tuners, hearts & flowers inlay, one-piece curly maple veneer on the resonator, a gorgeous new tobacco-brown finish and a super setup done right here at the Florida Gold Tone shop. Available as left-handed model.
The OB-250LW (Light Weight) banjo rim is an easy way to shave a few pounds off your banjo. The all-wood “rim-and-tone-ring-in-one” replaces the separate wood rim and the two-to-three pound metal tone ring in your banjo. You save your back and the banjo’s sound stays punchy and satisfying with little loss of power and volume. The tone remains tight with a satisfying short sustain. The bevel at the top of the rim measures the same as on most bronze rings and creates the same effective head area as found on a standard flathead tone ring. The LW rim is a quick and inexpensive option for someone needing relief from fatigue during those long sets on stage, or even if you’re just tired of lugging around a thirteen-pound banjo.

This 1992 Rich-Era Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Five-String Resonator Banjo was designed with extraordinary attention to detail. It's as close as a copy can be to the banjo Earl Scruggs played. The 1992 Earl Scruggs Standard banjo comes with a sticker signed by Scruggs on the inside of the resonator and Keith Tuners that say "Gibson" on the top. This banjo also includes the original hardshell Gibson case.

This 1989 Rich-Era Gibson RB-3 Five-String Resonator Banjo sounds phenomenal. It has non-original, but upgraded keys. As an added bonus, it comes with an original Gibson case.
