The Orange Blossom (OB) banjos harken back to Gold Tone’s early days and their popularity hasn’t diminished over the decades. These professional-grade banjos evoke the great pre-WW ll banjos played by the Masters: Earl Scruggs, Don Reno, J.D. Crow all depended on those great banjos from the Midwest USA to power their sound. The OB-250 has everything needed to produce THAT tone: a sand-cast bell brass flathead tone ring, a cast one-piece resonator flange circling a multi-ply maple rim with twin coordinator rods and an extra-deep curly maple multi-ply resonator for better low-end response. The curly maple neck has a bound ebony fretboard with hearts & flowers inlay. The bracket hooks even have metric threading to enable finer tension adjustment. The price includes a hard shell case.

I want to mention not only is this a quality banjo functionally this is also an attractive banjo.  Even the neck and resonator binding is maple, not plastic, which is a really nice touch.  This banjo absolutely does provide more bang for the buck in more ways then one!

Condition and Set Up

The banjo and case are new and in new condition.

This is set up with a Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge and strings are also new and this has correct intonation and the banjo is a phenomenal player.  This also is fully adjustable with a truss rod and dual coordinator rods.  Every banjo we sell is set up in shop and this is set up and ready to go!!
