Description
Gold Tone may be the most undervalued brand of musical instruments today. They are producing instruments that in some cases compare to instruments 3 times their price. This banjo is a high end instrument priced at a low end price. This is another example of Gold Tone’s dedication to match quality and value.
The success of the Gold Tone CEB-4 Cello-Banjo got Gold Tone president Wayne Rogers thinking, “Hmmm…what about a FIVE-STRING version?” Thus, the CEB-5 was born! Endowing the legions of five-string banjoists with a new and compelling voice to add to their music, the mighty CEB-5’s fourteen-inch pot (the largest banjo pot in production today by any maker) with a custom Remo Renaissance head and custom-designed high-tension wound nylon strings on a custom bridge pushes out gut-rumbling lowdown banjo mojo. Tuned a full octave below any of the standard five-string banjo’s many tunings, the CEB-5 looks as great as it sounds. The Canadian maple neck is finished in rich sunburst and the tastefully-bound peghead and ebony fretboard as well as the heel cap are fully bound. Play the Big Five under an Old Time ensemble to add a bass feel, play Scruggs-style three-finger rolls for an added dimension to Bluegrass or Newgrass styles or play the CEB-5 clawhammer-style (HUGE fun). Includes hard shell case.

Condition (see photos): Virtually no fret ware. Resonator has some wood checking that is apparent when you shine it under bright light. This RB-250 comes with a high-quality case that somebody wrote "The Gibson" on. However, it is not an original Gibson case.
This 1992 Rich-Era Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Five-String Resonator Banjo was designed with extraordinary attention to detail. It's as close as a copy can be to the banjo Earl Scruggs played. The 1992 Earl Scruggs Standard banjo comes with a sticker signed by Scruggs on the inside of the resonator and Keith Tuners that say "Gibson" on the top. This banjo also includes the original hardshell Gibson case.
This 1997 Gibson RB 4 Walnut Five-String Resonator Banjo is in excellent condition. It has a Flying-Eagle inlay and comes with a new Steve Huber bridge and head, and It was set up at the Huber Banjo factory in Nashville, Tennessee.
This 1989 Rich-Era Gibson RB-3 Five-String Resonator Banjo sounds phenomenal. It has non-original, but upgraded keys. As an added bonus, it comes with an original Gibson case. Condition: This 1989 Gibson RB-3 has virtually no fret wear. The resonator has some wood checking (which is normal from banjos of this era) and minor scratches (see [...]
