This used Recording King RK-R87 is a beautiful, limited-edition banjo (currently not being manufactured) that is in excellent condition. Earl Scruggs’ famous Gibson Granada banjo popularized this RK-R87’s curly maple and gold combination.
Features include a Mastertone-style one-piece banjo flange, an ebony fretboard with RK’s distinctive inlay that reminds us of a Gibson “Style-6,” a bone nut, rosewood peghead overlay, 3-ply rock maple shell, bell brass tone ring, and Gotoh planetary tuners. This RK-R87 also comes with a Deluxe hard case.
