Description
Greg Rich RB250 Banjos are not easy to find. Â This is especially true if they have the Richard Kulesh Senior AFP Tone Ring which this has. Â On top of this the banjo comes with a rare DELUXE Original Gibson Hardshell Case. Â This is a POWERFUL Banjo that will deliver the Rich era hard driving and rich tone that so many people love.
This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a mahogany neck and resonator. Â The fretboard is ebony with a leaves and bows inlay pattern. Â The hardware is nickel and all original including a Gibson USA One Piece Flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh AFP Tone Ring. Â This banjo is all original with the original tuner buttons in the case pocket but right now the banjo has amber buttons which I think looks really cool. Â The tuners are the original 5 star planets.
This also has a Deluxe Gibson USA case which is original and really adds to the package. Â This is a gorgeous cannon of a banjo that is not a common banjo to find. Â If you want to hammer out tone and volume with a classic Mastertone Banjo THIS BANJO IS IT!!!
Condition
This is in excellent condition. Â The hardware is in great shape with little tarnish at all. Â The finish on the wood is super clean all the way around the resonator and up the neck. Â There are some minor dings but overall the banjo is in great shape. Â The fretboard and frets are also super clean all the way down.
The only issue is inside the pot. Â There are gouges on the inside of the shell and the neck heel has some light cracking. Â All of this is pictured. Â This doesn’t effect the sound or function but is definitely worth noting.
This has spikes at frets 7and 9. The case is also super very clean with some light wear on the outside and very clean inside.
Set Up
This is set up with a new Remo frosted head set to 90. The bridge is a Gibson and this has new Huber strings. The banjo is a stellar player and is set up for easy playing and strong volume and tone production.
This is an extraordinary RB250 that is set up and ready to peel paint off the walls. Â Buy this Banjo.
