The Recording King RKOH-06 Dirty 30s Open Back Banjo is a no-fuss five-string built to get out of your way and let you make music, in the spirit of the mail-order instruments singer-songwriters and folk stylists have relied on for generations. A steam-bent multi-ply rim sits beneath a Remo Recording King head, delivering a warm, dry, distinctly old-time voice that open-back players love.
A traditional rolled brass tone ring adds just enough brightness and focus to keep things lively without tipping into a harder, more aggressive sound. The mahogany neck carries a Revebond fretboard with inlaid dot markers, and a No-Knot tailpiece and Vega-style armrest keep the setup simple and comfortable.
