Those extra frets give you a full two octaves on the first string, reaching a high D where a standard 22-fret banjo stops at C, and because the longer neck keeps the same scale length and string tension, it feels familiar in the hand while sitting the bridge closer to the center of the head for a warmer voice with excellent clarity up the neck.
