Why the Roscoe?
Pisgah kept the Roscoe simple on purpose: limited options, no metal tone ring, and a straightforward build. That is how they hold the price down without cutting the quality of the parts that shape the sound. The walnut tone rim gives the Roscoe a dark, plunky voice that sounds like an old-time banjo from decades ago, which is exactly what many clawhammer players are after.
The Pot
