This 2008 Nechville Custom is a five-string resonator banjo with a Nextar pot, a walnut Phantom neck with a speed neck and a tunneled fifth string, and a mahogany resonator. It comes with a TKL hardshell case.
It is for a player who wants a Nechville with the Heli-Mount frame, the in-line Nechville peghead, a speed neck and a tunneled fifth string.
How this 2008 Nechville Custom is built
The banjo pairs a Nextar pot with a Phantom neck. The Phantom neck was built by Tom Nechville. The neck is walnut, with a speed neck and a tunneled fifth string, and the resonator is mahogany.
The Heli-Mount name is on the frame around the pot, and the fretboard carries a PHANTOM plate. The inlay is a space theme: stars, a planet and a comet, as you can see in the photos.
Setup
Before it ships, this banjo gets a professional setup by our banjo tech Tara.
Condition
We grade this Nechville Very Good. There is residue inside the resonator, and it is shown in the photo of the inside of the resonator. Some of the chrome is smudged.
